set of original and largely intact late antique american 19th century victorian era varnished white oak wood interior residential pier mirror colonnades designed and fabricated by the decorators' supply co., chicago, il. the lock stave joint columns are slightly tapered. the ornamental ionic column capitals with flowing volutes and anthemions are comprised largely of a hardened composite affixed to a wooden core. the pair of columns were salvaged from a chicago graystone residence. surface wear and damage to plastic ornament evident. priced for the pair. two sets available. measure 56 inches tall.
