completely intact vintage american industrial c. 1940's or 1950's traveling salesman sample, patent model or company advertising display in the form of a warehouse or factory pallet rack system designed and fabricated for the rack engineering co., pittsburgh, pa. the patented adjustable pallet rack with "boltless shelf" is all original with a bright orange enameled finish applied to steel the racing system is supported on the original black painted wood stand with intact label. the actual rack equipment was fabricated in connellville, pa. the small scale assembly contains multiple detachable "boltless" shelves advertised as having weight capacities available from 1000 to 50,000 pounds. the vertical upright frames, beams and diagonal bracing are made of pressed and folded steel with original bright orange enameled finish. the system includes a rolling cart with detachable track. the model measures 18 1/2 x 14 1/2 x 11 inches.
