original early 20th century single-sided surface mount interior door "no smoking" plaque. salvaged from a turn of the century new york city public school. the elongated oval-shaped sign is comprised of vitreous china with bold black lettering. two pre-drilled mounting holes flank the lettering. manufactured by the ingram-richardson sign co., beaver falls, pennsylvania. measures 8 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches.
