original and intact vintage american medical "seeded" clear glass specimen vacuum bell jar likely manufactured by the wm. v. willis & co., philadelphia, pa. the ball or knob handle remains in great condition. bell jars were often used to protect and display delicate objects. in scientific settings, the jars were used as laboratory equipment for creating vacuums, etc.. measures 6 x 9 inches.
