Product Description

refinished c. 1930's vintage medical "steel line" series heavy gauge steel hospital examination and/or operating room supply cabinet. fabricated by the shampaine co., st. louis, mo. retains the original detachable top comprised of cold-rolled steel with intact glazed black porcelain enameled finish. the stationary supply cabinet or side table contains a multitude of drawers with original black bakelite handles or pulls. the two small drawers were used for storing instruments. the middle drawer likely held dressings. the large hinged cabinet door conceals a spacious compartment used for storing light sensitive chemicals or reagents. original folded steel three-sided rail guard intact. the angled steel blunted legs with steel disc feet remain structurally sound and stable. measures 20 x 16 x 34 inches.
