one of three matching all original and intact ornamental terra cotta exterior early 1880's building facade frieze panels removed from the former mellos peanut company factory building. the oversized rectangular-sized ornamental terra cotta block features unusually crude floral ornamentation with deep undercuts. the 1882 building was originally built as a saloon and boarding house. the architect is not known. the red slip terra cotta panel was likely fabricated by the northwestern terra cotta company, chicago, ills. four matching panels available. 33 x 4 x 21 inches
