early 1930's original and fully functional antique american industrial weighted table or desk task lamp designed and fabricated by the almond manufacturing co., brooklyn, ny. the flexible coiled steel or gooseneck arm is attached to a push button yellow brass shell socket with original rolled rim steel shade. the threaded shade or socket fitter is comprised of yellow brass. the fixture has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the lamp cord and plug are in great condition. the parabolic-shaped reflector remains in good overall condition. the cast iron base features parallel lines, floral motifs and other design elements popular during the 1920's and 1930's. base measures 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. shade is 6 inches in diameter. flexible arm is 10 1/2 inches in length fully extended.
