c. 1900's original refinished antique american industrial stationary four-legged cast iron and tubular steel dress form weighted stand base designed and fabricated by or for the hall-borchert dress form co., new york city, new york . the intact and structurally sound dress form base contains four fanciful cabriole style legs emanating from a tapered or conical-shaped component that supports the tubular steel upright. the very top of the upright contains a fitting with handle that would secure the height of the telescoping rod attached to the dress form. the base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 19 inches tall with a base diameter of 18 inches
