pair of original and largely intact late 19th century ornamental cast iron interior chicago commercial building handrail brackets or supports. exact fabricator unknown. the mounting plates feature a detailed floral rosette were removed long ago. the curved arms contain an acanthus leaf design motif. the original steel support plates are tightly affixed to the top of each bracket. measure 5 1/2 inches deep. priced for the set.
