repurposed heavy duty low-lying american vintage industrial cast iron factory cream separator machine base side table or plant stand fabricated in part by the de laval cream separator co., chicago, il. the thoroughly refinished brushed metal base was salvaged from a processing facility located in chicago. the stationary base contains a unique profile featuring a square-edge opening (not shown) exposing a hollow cavity. the flared or outswept feet provide added support and stability. surface treated with a clear coat lacquer. heavy gauge pressed circular steel tray tightly affixed to a swing-out cast iron bracket. the newly added wood tabletop consists of solid cherry wood with chamfered edges.
