repurposed vintage industrial low-lying two two stationary side table or night stand featuring an early american cast iron school room pedestal base once supporting a chair and desk combination. the uniquely designed patented iron base was fabricated by the woodruff & edwards co., elgin, il. the interchangeably constructed cast iron pedestal base was designed by alfred edwards and george abbott of elgin, il. in 1925. the custom-built square tabletops are comprised of old growth pine with a fine solid walnut edging. the iron and wood has been thoroughly refinished and treated with a satin sealant. measures 30 x 18 x 25 1/2 inches.
