pair of late 19th century olive green majolica glazed american fireplace tiles salvaged from a chicago residence. the richly ornamented tiles each containing a highly stylized daisy flower were fabricated by the trent tile co., trenton, nj. the tiles contain very little surface crazing. fleabites are found around deeply embossed regions. measure 6 x 6 inches. priced for the pair.
