original and intact early 20th century white glazed terra cotta salvaged fragment likely designed and fabricated by the midland terra cotta company, chicago, ills. the intact terra cotta block was salvaged from a two story chicago commercial building demolished long ago. the frieze panel resembles an "eyeball" in design. the allover surface crazing and discoloration provide added surface character. measures 14 x 12 inches.
