refinished late 1930's american antique industrial freestanding factory machine shop workbench designed and fabricated by the pollard brothers mfg. co., chicago, il. the reinforced stationary workbench contains an unusual combination maple wood and cold-rolled pressed and folded steel tabletop. the original backsplash or railguard can be removed if need be. the opposed legs with floor plates are reinforced with a single horizontal stretcher and oversized undershelf doubling as a footrest. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a clear coat finish. the two matching pull-out drawers are in great working condition. the "pollard" logo is lightly embossed or stamped on each of the metal components. the workbench is structurally sound and stable. the rock hard maple slab, which has been sanded and sealed, has great surface wear from repeated used over the years in a machine shop environment. similar tables available. priced individually. measures 72 x 29 x 34.5"
