original and intact american industrial simmons metal stationary desk fabricated during the late 1920's by the simmons manufacturing co., kenosha, wi. the very simple and largely unadorned desk or workstation contains a single pull-out drawer with spacious interior. the pressed steel knobs or drawer pulls are original to the desk. the turned and tapered pedestal legs are structurally sound and stable. brushed uniform finish treated with a clear coat lacquer. measures 32 x 19 x 30 1/2 inches.
