set of heavily reinforced low-lying vintage american industrial cast iron factory machine shop legs or bases designed and fabricated by or for the e.w. bliss company, brooklyn, ny. the hulking solid iron thread-rolling machine bases feature very simple and clean lines throughout. the square-shaped floor plates or "shoes" or free from damage. the extended bracket or shoulder is a rather unusual stylistic feature. the bases have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measure 18 x 8 x 23 inches. priced for the pair.
