original early 20th century unusually shaped antique american industrial reinforced cast iron stationary drill or tap grinder machine base designed and fabricated by or for the grand rapids grinding machine company, grand rapids, mich. the oversized factory machine shop base contain a very early old red paint finish with nicely aged wear and tear. the conical-shaped machine base contains a base flange with three pre-drilled holes designed to anchor the machine base tightly against the floor. great overall condition with remarkable old paint color and/or patina left unaltered. measures 33 inches high x 17 inches in diameter at the widest point.
