original c. 1930's antique american industrial single-sided reinforced cast aluminum surface mount "city" oval-shaped plaque or sign. the exact fabricator is not known. the metal plaque has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. possibly used as a manufacturer plaque mounted against an industrial machine, furnace, etc. measures 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.
