very unique c. 1910 custom-built american industrial pipefitter pine wood tool chest or box salvaged from an old milwaukee-based boiler works factory. the oversized workman's chest is reinforced with a folded galvanized sheet steel hinged top or lid, along with a series of bent wrought iron straps affixed tightly along the sides with a multitude of wood screws. the spacious interior comes equipped with a single removable wood drawer or tray with additional storage below. both iron and wood components have been refinished and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the cast iron drop handles are original and intact. measures 34 x 16 x 15 inches.
