highly ornate early 1900's interior residential ornamental cast brass single pocket door escutcheon possibly fabricated by the reading hardware co., reading, pa. the backplate contains a deeply recessed oval-shaped "cup" handle with single keyhole opening and two pre-drilled screw holes for mounting purposes. the intricately designed and visually striking pierced metal leafage greatly enhances the overall look. measures approximately 9 1/2 x 2 7/8 inches.
