one of a kind american depression era custom built pressed and folded steel tool chest or box salvaged from a recently shuttered chicago tool & die factory. the hinged top of the refinished bare metal (sealed with a clear coat lacquer) machinist toolbox features an unusual stepped or "waterfall' design with steel coil (conduit) handle affixed to the topmost tier with chain links. the portable factory toolbox or chest contains a spacious interior. a yellow hasp brazed against the top and bottom of the cabinet is designed for use with a standard padlock for securing the interior contents from theft. the tool box remains structurally sound and stable. measures 19 x 10 1/8 x 12 inches.
