very unique original vintage american industrial completely intact brass enameled and/or plated custom-built "model" spiral staircase. the exact fabricator is not known. the freestanding staircase is well-built and extremely durable. the all welded joint portable spiral staircase contains a central segmented upright or post for the treads to wrap around. steel rods with ball finials provide added support and security of the steps. the topmost section of the central post contains a fanciful finial. the nicely aged brass surface patina remains largely intact. great condition, considering age. the freestanding staircase can handle a substantial amount of weight (i personally walked to the top). makes for an ideal display shelf. measures 75 inches high and 31 inches in diameter.
