exceptional american craftsman style golden oak wood interior residential bookcase fireplace mantel salvaged from a chicago bungalow undergoing renovations. the oversized mantel features two opposed cabinets containing original adjustable oak wood shelves. the long and narrow mantel shelf with beveled trim remains in great condition, considering age. the cabinets are adorned with original leaded art glass panes featuring abstract floral motifs set within a strongly geometric configuration. amazingly, the original varnished finish remains in great shape. the bookcase mantel was likely fabricated by the foster-munger co., chicago, il. cracks contained in one cabinet door. measures 114 x 16 x 54 inches.
