unique c. 1930's vintage industrial ornamental cast iron machine age table base purportedly from a railroad lounge or dining car. fabricated between 1925-35 by the sani-products co., chicago, il. features a slightly tapered, octagonal-shaped pedestal supported by a strongly geometric weighted four-legged cast iron base reminiscent of a waterfall. the deeply incised parallel lines provide added visual character. the four pre-drilled support brackets are structurally sound and secure. thoroughly cleaned and refinished (brushed metal). two available.
