19th century victorian era residential arch top stained glass transom window salvaged from a chicago residence constructed around 1889. the rich and vibrantly colored window contains multiple circular and square faceted jewels with french bevel cut glass. the impressive composition of rippled and pressed glass elements are reminiscent of the wells glass co. (chicago, il). features a centrally located palmette design motif (popular during this period) along with floriated scrolls, etc. the stripped pine wood sash frame is original and intact. fabricated by mccully & miles, chicago. measures 56 x 19 1/2 inches.
