all original c. 1950's vintage american industrial telescoping "adjustrite" factory stool salvaged from an old chicago assembly plant. the stool consists of two relatively movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of the stool. the coacting movable members function in such a way to lock the seat at various selected positions. the bent tubular steel legs are designed to act as a footrest in addition to supporting the vertical column and seat. natural wear and tear left untouched to preserve the chair's surface patina. fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. the first incarnation was designed and patented by james a campbell in the early 1940's. measures 28 inches in height when fully extended.
