matching set of original american craftsman style interior residential art glass transom windows salvaged from a chicago bungalow residence built in the 1930's. the intact wood sash frame windows feature a strongly geometric design, consisting of a simple grid surrounded by a carmel color slag glass border. the uniquely-shaped rectangle with concave corners is comprised of a light purple slag glass. evenly spaced flashy gold leaf sandwich glass squares liven the otherwise monotonous straight lines forming the inner rectangular shape. the remainder of the panels are made of clear glass. original zinc caming sound and sturdy. free from breaks, cracks and replaced panels. very little, if any, bowing of the glass evident. original varnished wood sash frames. the window was made by the foster-munger co., chicago, il. similar windows from this particular salvage available. the windows measure 26 x 14 inches. priced for the pair.
