exceptional c. 1920's vintage medical spring-loaded operating room stool manufactured by the hamilton manufacturing co., two rivers, wi. found at michael reese hospital (chicago, il). the unusual four-legged stool contains a riveted joint base with multilevel cross-bracing. the adjustable height, round stool is supported and/or suspended by a network of springs providing maximum flexibility when moving to and fro. completely refinished.
