original ans fully functional early 20th century antique american industrial triple-jointed articulating arm machinist task lamp possibly fabricated in part by the adjustable light fixture co., milwaukee, wisc. the single electric light fixture contains a yellow brass metal "gooseneck" arm manufactured by the faries mfg. co., decatur, il. the three heavily reinforced swivel joints are comprised of cast iron with steel wing nuts for tightening the joints into place. the original general electric brass shell socket with threaded ring contains an old carbon filament incandescent light bulb with an early pressed steel "loxon" cage or bulb guard fabricated by the mcgill mfg. co., valparaiso, ind. the articulating factory task lamp has been thoroughly cleaned and brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer.
