original c. 1880's antique american fanciful cast brass interior residential doorknob designed and fabricated by the hopkins & dickinson mfg. co., new york city, ny. the banded rim dome-shaped doorknob was salvaged from the extant david c. cook mansion, located in elgin, il. the doorknob contains a repeating floral rosette design motif accentuated with black enameled inlay. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
