original c. 1880's antique american victorian era hand forged ornamental wrought iron exterior residential stair baluster designed and fabricated by f.p. smith & iron works, chicago, il. the two matching wrought iron baluster panels are elegantly designed with a circular-shaped center or ring accentuated with fishtail scrolls extending both inward and outward. the nicely aged ironwork contains multiple layers of old green and black paint applied over the years. sporadic rust caused by prolonged exposure to the elements evident. several matching decorative iron architectural artifacts available. salvaged from badly damaged railings removed from a chicago residence undergoing demolition. priced individually, one sold. 23.25 x 11.25"
