c. 1880's original american eastlake style entrance door "geometric" pattern backplate or escutcheon designed and fabricated by f.c. linde & co., cresskill, ny. the oversized backplate contains multiple distinctive decorative field patterns accentuated with slightly embossed floral rosettes. the original swinging keyhole cover remains intact. mostly uniform surface patina throughout. measures 7 x 2 inches.
