original c. 1870's ornamental pressed walnut wood interior residential passage size figural doorknob manufactured by the ornamental wood mfg. co., bridgeport, conn. the doorknob features a profile of a greek soldier or warrior surrounded by a classic neogrec border. the cast brass shank with opening for threaded set screw is original and intact. expected surface wear consistent with age. measure approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
