one of several all original and intact early 20th century antique american interior residential baseboard heat registers designed and fabricated by the rock island register company, rock island, ills. the intricately designed register features an ornamental iron surround supporting an interlocking decorative grille. the single louver designed to control air flow is made of stamped sheet steel. the delicate foliated grille remains in great shape. the older silver metallic finish is largely uniform throughout. the grate was salvaged from a chicago residence constructed in 1910. priced individually. measures 16 x 4 x 11 inches.
