original and intact american made vintage industrial c. 1940's freestanding factory workbench fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. the reinforced shop table contains two matching heavy gauge cold-rolled channel steel legs or bases with flared feet containing pre-drilled holes for mounting purposes. the pressed and formed steel legs have been refinished and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the single stretcher is comprised of pine wood and is secured tightly in place. the rock hard maple wood top features three closely spaced boards mounted firmly to the bases. the wood has been lightly sanded. surface wear and old paint is evident. measures 48 x 28 x 34 inches.
