all original antique american industrial c. 1920's single-sided white with bold red letter porcelain enameled "auto laundry" american service station exterior sign designed and fabricated by the ingram-richardson mfg. co., beaver falls, pa. the sign is comprised of die cut steel with slightly sunken center. the american automotive sign was likely used above the garage of an old standard oil or perhaps mobil service station containing a conveyorized car wash, self serve car or in-bay automatics (in addition to detailing and a fast lube). the american industrial porcelain enameled finish remains largely intact. measures 103 x 12 inches.
