american depression-era salvaged art deco "skyscraper" style theater lobby pendant light with ornamental fitter and canopy
original depression era c. 1930's american art deco movie theater lobby single electric light ceiling pendant featuring a "skyscraper style" blue opalescent molded glass shade. the art deco theater light retains the original aluminum ceiling canopy, chain and shade fitter, with a mostly uniform metallic finish. the "modernistic" fixture was almost always used in commercial applications (e.g., drugstores, department stores, etc). the multi-faceted, textured glass shade was fabricated by the phoenix glass co., pittsburgh, pa. salvaged from a theater located in indiana.
