one of two matching 19th century original and intact "oriental" pattern eastlake style interior residential mortise lock designed and fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. the functional residential passage door mortise lock retains the original dead and latch bolts, comprised of solid cast brass metal. the ornamented faceplate features a baked black enameled inlay used to accentuate the detail. the cast iron case is free from excessive wear and/or damage. multiple "oriental" pattern mortise locks available. priced individually. salvaged from a c. 1880's chicago wood frame cottage. lock measures 1 x 3 1/2 x 6 inches.
