original antique american eastlake style 19th century interior residential ornamental cast brass "broken leaf" pattern doorknob designed and manufactured by the lockwood mfg. co., south norwalk, ct. the popular doorknob pattern was used quite extensively in the 1880's during the american aesthetic movement. the dome-shaped, banded rim doorknob with picket fence border remains in great condition, with a nicely aged surface patina. the doorknob measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
