original and intact c. 1920's vintage american industrial adjustable height tripod base or stand salvaged from a chicago tool & die factory. features a weighted cast iron base with fanciful outstretched legs. the central post contains a tubular steel extension with a small welded joint steel deck. the original pivoting lever (locks the extension at desired height) is original and intact. the machine shop stand retains the original "factory green" enameled finish. fabricator unknown. when fully extended, the stand measures 64 inches in height.
