original old industrial single-sided die cut steel porcelain enameled "chicago tramrail" gantry factory and/or overhead crane or hoist sign plaque. the long and narrow rectangular sign contains four pre-drilled holes for mounting purposes. porcelain enameled surface exhibits obvious wear and tear. the sign was likely fabricated by the veribrite sign co., chicago, il. the chicago tramrail co. may have been a division of the cleveland crane and engineering company (located in wickliffe, oh.) at one point in time. measures 30 x 4 inches.
