all original c. 1930's american industrial "loxon" type incandescent light bulb guard or protector designed and patented by charles s. mcgill of valparaiso, ind. the "expandable" metal wire bulb guard is comprised of brushed steel. originally used in conjunction with a portable trouble light. the centrally located stiffening ring structurally intact. contains a brazed joint tin metal reflector used for redirecting the angle of light. the tilting bent wire hook is original and intact. fabricated by the mcgill mfg. co., valparasio, ind.
