thoroughly cleaned and refinished c. 1940's american vintage industrial stationary compartmentalized two-drawer "tool stand" supply cart designed and fabricated by lyon metal products inc., aurora, il. the heavily reinforced thick gauge pressed and folded steel cabinet contains a mostly uniform brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat sealant to prevent surface corrosion. the reversible undershelf below provides added support and stability. the angled steel legs are structurally sound. the "lyon" cabinet was salvaged from an old ford motor automobile assembly plant. a similar cabinet with original weathered green paint finish was removed from the same location. measures 18 x 24 x 32 inches.
