original and intact single-sided c. 1940's vintage american industrial "high voltage" danger sign likely fabricated by the stonehouse steel sign co., denver, co. the heavy gauge die cut steel sign contains a mostly uniform cherry red enameled finish with bold white lettering. the four corners contain screw holes for mounting purposes. salvaged from a chicago power substation the industrial factory sign measures 14 x 6 1/2 inches.
