profusely illustrated c. 1940's hardbound general electric supply corporation "lighting: industrial, commercial, and floodlighting" catalog containing extensive information on the 1941 general electric lighting and accessory line. this buckram cloth hardback catalogue is fully intact, with 212 pages of highly detailed illustrations of their fluorescent, incandescent and holophane lines, as well as miscellaneous portable tables lamps, followed by dimensions and pricing. the hardcover has some fading and small tears to the feet of the binding, but otherwise remains in overall good condition. general electric was formed by the 1892 merger of edison general electric company of schenectady, new york, and thomson-houston electric company of lynn, massachusetts, with the help of drexel, morgan & co. both plants continue to operate under the general electric banner to this day. the company was incorporated in new york, with the schenectady plant used as headquarters for many years thereafter.
