original and largely intact american industrial "neumade" riveted and welded joint refinished steel four-legged stationary desk used for rewinding and splicing movie reel film strips.

the robust industrial table was designed and manufactured by the neumade products corp., buffalo, ny. the film rewinding equipment was removed long ago.

the source of illumination (originally located on the underside of the table) has been taken off. the yellow brass cover plate with two on/off switches was left in place.

the legs are reinforced with angled steel stretchers. the desk contains a single sliding drawer with original pressed steel handle. the table contains a newly added stained wood top and matching undershelf. the industrial desk was salvaged from the old downtown chicago cbs studios demolished in 2009. 

the brushed and sanded metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 42 x 28 1/8 x 30 inches.
