original and intact pressed and folded cold-rolled sheet steel factory storage cabinet containing a single column of five matching pull-out drawers. the original cast brass drawer pulls are flanked by two petite-sized label holders or sleeves. each drawer contains a slide button release mechanism for locking the drawers in an open or closed position. the hulking cabinet was salvaged from an old machine tool factory located outside of chicago. fabricated in the 1940's by the library bureau sole makers, boston, ma. the spacious interior compartments contain sliding steel dividers running along a central track. measures 19 x 28 x 41 inches. old blue paint finish largely intact.
