intact c. 1940's vintage american industrial bright yellow enameled galvanized steel garbage can salvaged from the national sign co. factory, located in chicago, il. the portable waste receptacle was likely fabricated by the witt cornice co., cincinnati, oh. the original pinched and folded rolled rim lid or top contains a bent steel stationary handle tightly affixed to top. the large solid bent steel rod drop handle pivots with ease. nicely worn and weathered finish. measures 18 x 16 inches.
