original and largely intact late 19th century interior residential solid white oak wood colonnade set or "room divider" salvaged from a chicago graystone built around 1897. the pedestal bases or "boxes" contain three-sided recessed panels and baseboard outlined with fancy trimwork. the two matching posts of columns, with lock stave joints, remain in great shape, considering age. no major dents, dings or splitting evident. the four-sided ionic capitals are comprised largely of an oak wood core adorned with pressed ornamental gesso or composite in a variety of neoclassical style design motifs. the antique american colonnades were fabricated by the decorators supply company, chicago, il.measures 26 x 10 1/2 x 92 inches. priced for the set.
