original sound and sturdy early 20th century antique american medical adjustable height hospital operating room examination stool designed and fabricated by william v. willis & co., philadelphia, pa. the surgeon stool contains a four-legged bent iron base with flared tubular steel feet. a single circular heel or foot ring is welded firmly against each leg. the revolving pressed and folded seat contains a threaded steel rod or spindle, allowing the seat to move upwards or downwards by way of rotation. uniform metallic silver enameled finish. seat height adjusts from 18 to 22 inches.
